Aizome Heavy Sherpa Comforter
Aizome means "indigo dyeing". This heavy sherpa comforter is made for the coldest nights: a raised diamond jacquard on top, fuzzy cream sherpa fleece underneath, and 8.8 to 9.9 lb of dense fill in between. That is about twice the weight of a standard comforter, so it settles over you with a calm, weighted feel and holds the warmth in.

Aizome Heavy Sherpa Comforter
Built for the coldest nights

On the bed
Heavy enough to feel, soft enough to sleep under
At 8.8 to 9.9 lb, it settles over you with a calm, weighted feel. Fold it back and the cream sherpa shows, so the bed looks relaxed and lived-in.

The face
Raised diamond jacquard
A deep, braided diamond texture woven into the plush face. It catches the light softly and hides creases, so the bed looks made even when it isn't.

The reverse
Fuzzy sherpa for the coldest nights
Turn it over for a thick faux lamb wool sherpa fleece. It is the warmest side, made for January mornings and drafty bedrooms.

The thickness
Plump from edge to edge
Folded, it makes a tall, plump stack. The fill reaches every corner, so the edges stay as warm and thick as the middle.

When it arrives
Vacuum-packed, full loft in a day
Unpack it, give it a few good shakes and let it rest for up to 24 hours. It keeps getting thicker as the fill relaxes.
Compared
Twice the weight of a standard comforter
Most comforters weigh about 4.4 lb. Aizome is 8.8 to 9.9 lb, made for the coldest nights.

The fabric
Raised jacquard, fuzzy sherpa beneath.
The face is a dense plush woven with a braided diamond pattern you can feel under your hand. The reverse is a thick faux lamb wool sherpa fleece, and the two are stitched together around a heavy polyester fill.

Weight and warmth
8.8 to 9.9 lb, spread evenly.
The fill runs edge to edge, so the weight sits evenly across you instead of bunching in the middle. Choose the size by your bed; the larger sizes are also the heaviest.
- Texture
- Raised jacquard on top, soft sherpa underneath.
- Warmth
- Heavy winter weight, roughly twice a standard comforter.
- Care
- Gentle cold wash in a large machine, tumble dry low.

Our return promise →FAQs
Which size fits my bed?
Twin/Full is 59 x 79 in (150 x 200 cm), Full/Queen 71 x 87 in (180 x 220 cm), Queen 79 x 91 in (200 x 230 cm) and King 87 x 94 in (220 x 240 cm). Size up if you like more overhang.
How heavy is it?
Twin/Full is 8.8 lb, Full/Queen 8.8 lb, and Queen and King are 9.9 lb. That is roughly twice a standard comforter, which is usually around 4.4 lb.
Is it a weighted blanket?
It gives a gentle weighted feel thanks to its dense polyester fill, but it has no glass beads or pellets. It drapes and breathes like a regular comforter, just heavier and warmer.
Is it reversible?
Yes. One side has the raised diamond jacquard, the other a soft cream sherpa fleece.
Do I need a duvet cover?
No. The jacquard and sherpa are the comforter's own cover, so you can use it straight on the bed.
Can I wash it?
Yes, on a gentle cold cycle in a large-capacity machine, then tumble dry on low. Because it is heavy, a laundromat machine is easiest for Queen and King.
Why does it look flat when it arrives?
It ships vacuum-packed. Take it out, shake it well and leave it spread out for up to 24 hours. A short tumble on low heat speeds it up.
How fast is delivery?
It ships in 3-9 business days with tracking. Shipping is free on orders over $149.
Will the color look the same as on my screen?
Very close, but screens vary a little, especially with pastel shades like Lavender and Blush Pink.
Will it shrink?
Natural fibers can shrink slightly in hot water or a hot dryer. Washing at 104°F (40°C) or below and drying on low heat keeps shrinkage to a minimum, and the listed sizes already allow for normal care.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, standard shipping is free on all orders over $149.
Can I return bedding?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons bedding must be unused, unwashed and in its original packaging. Items that arrive damaged or defective are replaced free of charge. See our Return Policy for details.
How can I track my order?
Use the link in your shipping confirmation email, or enter your order number on our Track Order page.
What if my order arrives damaged or faulty?
Contact us within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the issue and we'll send a replacement at no cost. See our Return Policy for details.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Just email us and we'll update or cancel the order before it ships.
How can I contact customer support?

Bedding FAQs
Which size should I choose?
Size your duvet cover to your duvet insert, not just your bed frame, so it fills the cover without bunching. Size names vary between the US, UK and EU (an EU 200 x 220 cm is not the same as a US Queen), so check the exact measurements in the Size Chart on each product before ordering. If you are between sizes, go one size up for a fuller, hotel-style drape.
Is a duvet insert included?
No. Our bedding sets are covers only: duvet cover, sheet and pillowcases. Duvet inserts, comforters and pillows are sold separately, such as our goose down duvets and pillows.
What's the difference between a flat and a fitted sheet?
A fitted sheet has elasticated corners that hug the mattress and stay in place, which is the most popular choice in the US. A flat sheet is a plain rectangle you tuck in, common in Europe and good for layering. Where a product offers both, choose under Sheet Type.
What comes in a 4-piece vs a 6-piece set?
A 4-piece set usually includes one duvet cover, one sheet and two pillowcases. A 6-piece set adds two more pillowcases or a second sheet, depending on the design. The exact contents for every set are listed in the product description and Size Chart.
Linen, cotton, Egyptian cotton or silk: which is right for me?
Linen is breathable and temperature-regulating, with a relaxed, textured look that suits a Japandi bedroom. It is ideal if you sleep warm. Cotton is soft, smooth and easy-care. Egyptian cotton uses longer fibres for a silkier, more durable weave. Silk and Tencel blends feel cool and glossy and are gentle on hair and skin.
Will linen bedding feel rough or wrinkle?
Natural linen has a soft, lived-in crumple, and that relaxed texture is part of its charm. It gets softer with every wash. If you prefer a smoother look, remove it from the dryer while slightly damp and smooth it by hand, or iron on a medium setting.
How do I wash and care for my bedding?
- Linen and cotton: machine wash at 30-40°C (86-104°F) on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Tumble dry low or line dry.
- Silk: hand wash cold or use a delicates bag on a silk cycle, then dry flat away from direct sun.
- Wash darker colours separately for the first few washes.
- Avoid bleach and fabric softener. Softener coats natural fibres and reduces their breathability.
Will it shrink?
Natural fibres can shrink slightly in hot water or a hot dryer. Washing at 40°C or below and drying on low heat keeps shrinkage to a minimum, and the sizes we list already allow for normal care.
Duvet cover closure: buttons or zipper?
It depends on the design. Some covers close with buttons and some with a hidden zipper, and a few products let you choose. You can find this under the product options or in the product description.
Will the colour look the same as on my screen?
We photograph our bedding in natural light to keep colours as true as possible, but every screen displays colour slightly differently. Natural fibres like linen can also vary a little from batch to batch.
How long does bedding take to arrive?
Bedding ships within 1-2 business days and arrives in 3-9 business days to the US, Canada, UK, EU and Australia. You'll receive a tracking link by email as soon as it ships. Standard shipping is free on orders over $149.
Can I return bedding?
Yes. You can return bedding within 30 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons it must be unused, unwashed and in its original packaging. Items that arrive damaged or defective are replaced free of charge. See our Return Policy for details.
