- Vacuum on suction only (beater bar off). Spinning brushes pull loops and blur the carved lines.
- Blot spills from the outside in with a clean cloth and cold water. Never rub, never use bleach.
- Trim, don't pull. If a tuft stands up, snip it level with scissors.

- Rotate it every 3-6 months so sun and footsteps wear it evenly.

Which size should I choose?
In a living room, choose a size that lets at least the front legs of the sofa and chairs rest on Junpei. Under a bed, the rug should extend about 18-24 in (45-60 cm) beyond each side. Smaller sizes suit entryways, desks and the side of a bed.
Will the rug arrive creased?
Junpei ships rolled to protect it, so it may show soft folds at first. Lay it flat face-up and the creases relax within a few days. Rolling it the opposite way for a few hours speeds this up.
Does it shed?
Some light shedding of loose fibers is normal in the first weeks. Regular vacuuming without a beater bar removes it, and it settles quickly.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum regularly and spot clean spills straight away with a mild detergent and water, blotting rather than rubbing. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
Do I need a rug pad?
On hard floors we recommend one. A thin non-slip pad keeps the rug from sliding, protects the floor and makes it feel softer underfoot.
