Shizumi Weighted Quilted Comforter
Shizumi means "sinking in". A 15 lb comforter quilted into deep, puffy squares settles over you with a calm, even weight, the feeling of being gently held. The squares keep the weight from shifting, so it stays spread across you all night.

Size and fit
Sized as a throw for one person. Lay it over your own side of a queen or king bed, on top of your duvet, or use it on the sofa or a reading chair.
Good to know
Weighted blankets are not suitable for young children or anyone who cannot lift the blanket off by themselves.
Care

- Washing. Because of its weight, use a large-capacity machine on a gentle cold cycle, or a laundry service.
- Drying. Lay flat or tumble dry low, turning it often so the fill dries evenly.

Shizumi Weighted Quilted Comforter
Made to hold you, gently

Even weight
The weight stays where it belongs
The 15 lb fill is sealed into small quilted squares, so it spreads evenly from your shoulders to your feet and never slides to one side, night after night.

On the sofa
A calm hour, under one blanket
Pull it over your lap for a film or a slow Sunday. At 48 × 72 in it covers one person from shoulders to feet without hanging onto the floor.

The cover
Soft, smooth cotton against the skin
A white cotton cover that feels smooth to the touch and lets air move, so the weight feels comforting rather than heavy and hot.

In the bedroom
From the sofa to your side of the bed
Lay it over your half of a queen or king bed on top of your duvet, or use it on its own on milder nights. Sized for one person, so your partner sleeps as they like.

Our return promise →FAQs
Will it fit my bed?
It is 48 x 72 in, sized for one person. It sits on top of your own side of the bed rather than covering the whole mattress, and works on a sofa too.
Does the weight shift around?
No. The fill is held in small quilted squares, so the weight stays evenly spread.
How fast is delivery?
It is in stock in our US warehouse. Orders ship within 1-2 business days and usually arrive in 2 to 5 business days, with tracking.
Is it safe for children?
Weighted blankets are not recommended for young children or anyone who cannot easily remove the blanket on their own.
How do I wash and care for my bedding?
- Linen and cotton: machine wash at 86-104°F (30-40°C) on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Tumble dry low or line dry.
- Silk: hand wash cold or use a delicates bag on a silk cycle, then dry flat away from direct sun.
- Wash darker colors separately for the first few washes.
- Skip bleach and fabric softener. Softener coats natural fibers and makes them less breathable.
Will it shrink?
Natural fibers can shrink slightly in hot water or a hot dryer. Washing at 104°F (40°C) or below and drying on low heat keeps shrinkage to a minimum, and the listed sizes already allow for normal care.
Will the color look the same as on my screen?
We photograph our bedding in natural light to keep colors as true as possible, but every screen shows color a little differently. Natural fibers like linen can also vary slightly from batch to batch.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, standard shipping is free on all orders over $149.
Can I return bedding?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons bedding must be unused, unwashed and in its original packaging. Items that arrive damaged or defective are replaced free of charge. See our Return Policy for details.
How can I track my order?
Use the link in your shipping confirmation email, or enter your order number on our Track Order page.
What if my order arrives damaged or faulty?
Contact us within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the issue and we'll send a replacement at no cost. See our Return Policy for details.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Just email us and we'll update or cancel the order before it ships.

Bedding FAQs
Which size should I choose?
Size your duvet cover to your duvet insert, not just your bed frame, so it fills the cover without bunching. Size names vary between the US, UK and EU (an EU 200 x 220 cm is not the same as a US Queen), so check the exact measurements in the Size Chart on each product before ordering. If you are between sizes, go one size up for a fuller, hotel-style drape.
Is a duvet insert included?
No. Our bedding sets are covers only: duvet cover, sheet and pillowcases. Duvet inserts, comforters and pillows are sold separately, such as our goose down duvets and pillows.
What's the difference between a flat and a fitted sheet?
A fitted sheet has elasticated corners that hug the mattress and stay in place, which is the most popular choice in the US. A flat sheet is a plain rectangle you tuck in, common in Europe and good for layering. Where a product offers both, choose under Sheet Type.
What comes in a 4-piece vs a 6-piece set?
A 4-piece set usually includes one duvet cover, one sheet and two pillowcases. A 6-piece set adds two more pillowcases or a second sheet, depending on the design. The exact contents for every set are listed in the product description and Size Chart.
Linen, cotton, Egyptian cotton or silk: which is right for me?
Linen is breathable and temperature-regulating, with a relaxed, textured look that suits a Japandi bedroom. It is ideal if you sleep warm. Cotton is soft, smooth and easy-care. Egyptian cotton uses longer fibres for a silkier, more durable weave. Silk and Tencel blends feel cool and glossy and are gentle on hair and skin.
Will linen bedding feel rough or wrinkle?
Natural linen has a soft, lived-in crumple, and that relaxed texture is part of its charm. It gets softer with every wash. If you prefer a smoother look, remove it from the dryer while slightly damp and smooth it by hand, or iron on a medium setting.

Duvet cover closure: buttons or zipper?
It depends on the design. Some covers close with buttons and some with a hidden zipper, and a few products let you choose. You can find this under the product options or in the product description.
Will the colour look the same as on my screen?
We photograph our bedding in natural light to keep colours as true as possible, but every screen displays colour slightly differently. Natural fibres like linen can also vary a little from batch to batch.
How long does bedding take to arrive?
Bedding ships within 1-2 business days and arrives in 3-9 business days to the US, Canada, UK, EU and Australia. You'll receive a tracking link by email as soon as it ships. Standard shipping is free on orders over $149.
Can I return bedding?
