How big is the Virel?
Virel measures 16" (41cm) long and 3" (8cm) high, with a round backplate of 3.5" (8.8cm). It weighs only about 1.2 lbs (0.55kg), keeping the profile slim on the wall.
How is the Virel installed?
Virel is a wall-mounted fixture and the mounting hardware is included. If it is being connected to your home wiring, have a licensed electrician do the installation for safety.
Where can I use the Virel?
Virel suits bedrooms, living areas and workspaces. It works well as a bedside reading light, a wall light beside a sofa or a slim task light above a desk, anywhere you want light you can aim.
What finishes and light colors are available?
Virel comes in gold, black or white aluminum with an acrylic diffuser. Light options are Warm White (3000K), Neutral White (4000K) and Cool White (6000K). Warm white is the most relaxing choice for bedrooms and living rooms.
How does the pivot work?
The linear body rotates up to 300 degrees, so you can direct light up the wall for a soft wash, down for reading, or sideways to highlight artwork. It makes one fixture useful for several jobs.
Are bulbs included?
It depends on the fixture. Integrated LED fixtures have the light source built in, so there is nothing to buy. For fixtures with sockets, the options above and the Product Specifications tab show whether bulbs are included and which type fits.
Warm white or cool white: which should I pick?
Warm white (around 3000K) gives a soft, golden glow that suits living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas. Cool white (around 6000K) is crisper and brighter, better for kitchens, offices and bathrooms. If you are unsure, warm white is the cozier choice for most Japandi spaces.
