- Everyday. Use it inside a cover and shake it out every morning to restore loft. Air it outdoors in the shade on a dry day every few weeks.
- Cleaning. Spot clean small marks. For a full clean, choose a professional down cleaner, or a large front-loading machine on a gentle cold cycle with a down-safe detergent.
- Drying. Dry completely on low heat with two or three dryer balls. It can take several cycles. Down that stays damp will clump and smell.
- Avoid. Bleach, fabric softener and top-loading machines with a central agitator.

How is Fuwa different from Sakaki?
Fuwa has a heavier fill, around 2.2-3.3 lb (1-1.5 kg) per pillow, in a 600+ thread count cover, so it feels plusher and more supportive. Sakaki is lighter and softer.
Can I wash them?
Professional cleaning is best. At home, use a large front-loader on a gentle cold cycle with down detergent, then dry fully on low heat with dryer balls.
They arrived flat. What should I do?
They are vacuum packed for shipping. Fluff them well and give them several hours to a day to fully recover.
Which size do I need?
Queen fits a standard pillowcase. King is longer and suits a king bed with two pillows side by side.
Will it shrink?
Natural fibers can shrink slightly in hot water or a hot dryer. Washing at 104°F (40°C) or below and drying on low heat keeps shrinkage to a minimum, and the listed sizes already allow for normal care.
Will the color look the same as on my screen?
We photograph our bedding in natural light to keep colors as true as possible, but every screen shows color a little differently. Natural fibers like linen can also vary slightly from batch to batch.

Bedding FAQs
Which size should I choose?
Size your duvet cover to your duvet insert, not just your bed frame, so it fills the cover without bunching. Size names vary between the US, UK and EU (an EU 200 x 220 cm is not the same as a US Queen), so check the exact measurements in the Size Chart on each product before ordering. If you are between sizes, go one size up for a fuller, hotel-style drape.
Is a duvet insert included?
No. Our bedding sets are covers only: duvet cover, sheet and pillowcases. Duvet inserts, comforters and pillows are sold separately, such as our goose down duvets and pillows.
What's the difference between a flat and a fitted sheet?
A fitted sheet has elasticated corners that hug the mattress and stay in place, which is the most popular choice in the US. A flat sheet is a plain rectangle you tuck in, common in Europe and good for layering. Where a product offers both, choose under Sheet Type.
What comes in a 4-piece vs a 6-piece set?
A 4-piece set usually includes one duvet cover, one sheet and two pillowcases. A 6-piece set adds two more pillowcases or a second sheet, depending on the design. The exact contents for every set are listed in the product description and Size Chart.
Linen, cotton, Egyptian cotton or silk: which is right for me?
Linen is breathable and temperature-regulating, with a relaxed, textured look that suits a Japandi bedroom. It is ideal if you sleep warm. Cotton is soft, smooth and easy-care. Egyptian cotton uses longer fibres for a silkier, more durable weave. Silk and Tencel blends feel cool and glossy and are gentle on hair and skin.
Will linen bedding feel rough or wrinkle?
Natural linen has a soft, lived-in crumple, and that relaxed texture is part of its charm. It gets softer with every wash. If you prefer a smoother look, remove it from the dryer while slightly damp and smooth it by hand, or iron on a medium setting.
How do I wash and care for my bedding?
- Linen and cotton: machine wash at 30-40°C (86-104°F) on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Tumble dry low or line dry.
- Silk: hand wash cold or use a delicates bag on a silk cycle, then dry flat away from direct sun.
- Wash darker colours separately for the first few washes.
- Avoid bleach and fabric softener. Softener coats natural fibres and reduces their breathability.

Duvet cover closure: buttons or zipper?
