credō is Back – Rebranded, Expanded, and Built for the Long Term
Four years after our first launch, we are starting again – with a clearer identity, a deeper catalog, and a stronger sense of what credō is actually for.
credō first opened in 2021, quietly, without much fanfare. We were a small operation with a focused selection: Japanese tea ceremony sets, a handful of ceramic pieces, and a simple belief that the objects in a home matter more than most people give them credit for.
We grew slowly. We learned what our customers actually wanted – not just beautiful things, but things that made daily life feel more considered. A teapot that made the morning ritual worth slowing down for. Bedding that felt genuinely different from the first night. A pendant light that changed the whole atmosphere of a room after dark.
By 2024, we had outgrown our original identity. The range had expanded well beyond tea sets. The customer had become clearer to us – someone who cares deeply about their home environment, who buys less but buys better, who is drawn to the Japandi philosophy not as a trend but as a genuine way of living. We needed a brand that reflected that person. So we rebuilt it.

What Has Changed
The name stayed. credō – from the Latin for "I believe" – still captures what we are about: conviction that the details of a home are worth caring about. But almost everything else was rebuilt from the ground up.
The visual identity was stripped back and rebuilt around the Japandi palette we had been living with for four years: warm whites, linens, barks, and charcoals. Clean typography. No decoration for its own sake.
The catalog expanded significantly. Tea sets and ceramics remain at the heart of what we do. But we now carry linen bedding, bamboo and rattan lighting, Japandi rugs, and a growing range of home accessories – all chosen against the same criteria: natural materials, honest craft, objects that earn their place.
The experience was rebuilt to match the products. If we are asking people to invest in objects that are made with care, the store they buy from should feel the same way.
What Stayed the Same
The same belief that brought us here in 2021: that a home is not just a space you live in – it is something you build intentionally, object by object, over time. That the difference between a room that restores you and one that drains you is often not the furniture, but the materials, the light, and the care behind each piece.
We are still a small team. We still select everything ourselves. We still turn down products that do not meet the standard, regardless of price or popularity. That will not change.

What Comes Next
2025 is the year we go deeper. New collections are already in development across tea ceremony, bedding, lighting, and soft decor. We are working directly with artisans in Japan and across Asia on pieces that cannot be found anywhere else.
We will also be publishing more – about Japandi design, about the philosophy behind the objects we carry, about how to actually build a home that feels the way you want it to feel. Not as a content strategy, but because we have things to say and customers who want to hear them.
Thank you to everyone who has been with credō since 2021. You shaped what this became. We are glad to be back – and this time, we are staying.
